Be In Bloom...
This spring, I talked about being in bloom-- testing the boundaries of your comfort zone and opening up to the world. That really set a tone for me personally this year, and I've done my best to open up to new possibilities, unique opportunities, and ways of being. That included starting (and finishing) a new job as the chef at an area restaurant-- a unique experience I'm not entirely sorry has ended, a focus on transitioning into different areas of the food and cooking realm, and just saying "yes" in general.
One project I'm super energized about right now is a new healthy vegetarian lunch delivery service called Go Bento. I quietly launched this program a month ago and it is still very much in its infancy, with only four days of delivery complete (the service is currently only available one time a week). But it's been encouraging and surprising to see the response I have gotten from friends and strangers alike-- people are excited. If you're in the NYC area and are interested in having Go Bento deliver to you, check out this week's menu and order form here: Go Bento
I had my first sip of spiced cider this weekend and that's how I know fall is really and truly here-- that and concord grapes have made their appearance at the farmer's market, intoxicating eager honeybees and humans alike, and there's something about that that always makes me feel like snuggling under a blanket with a cup of tea. In fact, that sounds good, I'm going to go do that now.
